Evaluation Template for "Don't Worry?" Presentation

1. Is the image striking, unpredictable and memorable?
  • You need to provide cites for your images.
  • Collages are often an effective way to covey a complex problem.

2.
Does the text say what the image is, and how it illustrates a larger sustainability problem?
  • Writing a caption provides you with an opportunity to re-articulate your argument.
  • One of your challenges here is to articulate how a specific example illustrates a more general problem.

3. Does the text provide detail on the magnitude of the problem the image points to?
  • Make sure to provide detail on the magnitude of the general problem you point to (as well as detail on the specific problem you focus on.)

4. Does the text indicate the consequences of not addressing the problem focused on?
* Throughout, provide cites.

5. Does the text or supporting links suggest how the problem could be fixed?
* You should link to organizations working on the problem.

6. Does the text leverage the references listed, particularly the academic articles on the list?

7. Does the presentation demonstrate in-depth engagement with its academic references -- beyond the abstracts?
* Use your academic references!

8. Do supporting links provide additional, useful information on the problem?
  • You should provide links to the best of resources on your topic – not just any resources.

9. Is the on-line presentation effectively organized?
  • Use subheads, and make sure to include a bibliography.

10. Was the presentation compelling?
